Three More Hybrids, Three New Diesels Coming to Honda

AutoBlogGreen continues to run with the  developing green product storyline from Honda.  Recently, they wrote another blog entry about Honda's plans to bring three more hybrids to the US market in addition to three new diesel powered entries.  We'll be seeing the new global hybrid Prius fighter in our showroom in mid Spring 2009.  In addition, a diesel version of Acura's TSX will be coming our way in late 2009.  Look for more diesel variations of Honda's four and six cylinder engines in future iterations of current products like Pilot, Odyssey and Accord.  There is a lot coming our way in the coming years from Honda.  It sure is exciting to be associated with such an exciting, cutting edge, progressive car company.  Look for more information on these new products as it becomes available on this blog or our Lehigh Valley Honda website.

Acura Announces Details for the 2009 MDX

For the 2009 model year, Acura recently announced some enhancements for its segment leading MDX sports activity vehicle.  The power rear tailgate is now standard on the Technology and Sport packages while before it was only available on vehicles equipped with the Entertainment Package.  In addition Acura has made some enhancements to its industry leading navigation system such as adding more real time traffic monitoring capability for more major metropolitan areas now bringing the official count up to 77 metropolitan areas.  Acura fans will also be happy to know that two new exterior colors have been added.  Bali Blue takes the place of Steel Blue Metallic and Mocha Metallic takes the place of Desert Rock Metallic.  We look forward to seeing the 2009 MDX in our Lehigh Valley Acura showroom on Lehigh Street.

First FCX Clarity Customer Takes Delivery In Southern California

The first customer to take delivery of Honda's revolutionary FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell vehicle drove off the lot on Friday July 25th.  Ron and Annette Yerxa are the first people to drive the leased FCX Clarity off of a dealer lot in Santa Monica, California.  Lessees have largely been confined to Southern California due to the proximity to fueling stations that are required to own one of these babies.  Lehigh Valley Honda is excited about this technology and look forward to the day that these zero emissions, fuel efficient, hydrogen powered cars grace the roads of the Lehigh Valley.

AutoBlogGreen: New Honda Hybrid System Significantly Cheaper Than Current System

According to our buddies at AutoBlogGreen, the new global hybrid that Honda is preparing to announce will come to market priced significantly lower than the current generation IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) Civic Hybrid.  They are quoting a price of around $18,500 but we haven't heard an official word yet from Honda.  ABG is attributing the significant cost decrease to Honda's ability to lower the production costs of the components used to comprise the next generation hybrid system.  Regardless, it is a very cool system that is sure to be one of the best in its class and a definite Prius fighter should it come in at the price point they are talking about.  Our Honda dealership near Allentown will be buzzing when these babies arrive.  Stay tuned for more information.

Honda Launches Microsite Devoted to 2009 Fit and Future Hybrid Models

Thanks for the heads up from our buddies at AutoBlogGreen for pointing out that Honda recently launched a microsite inside their website that is strictly devoted to the launch of the 2009 Fit as well as the new hybrid models they are bringing to market.  On this page, you will find pictures, more information on each vehicle and a place to sign up to receive updates from Honda on these future products.  There are some pretty cool vehicles for you to look at including the CR-Z, the Remix and the quirky Step Bus concept.  Interest has been heavy for the launch of the 2009 Fit in our Lehigh Valley Honda showroom.  Several 2009's have already been pre-sold as the last of our 2008 Fit's are driven away by happy, fuel efficiency loving new owners.

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis Has Arrived!
